PURPOSE: A wireless sensor network-based object tracking method is provided to reduce the number of sensor nodes which transfer information to a base station when an object is spreading or reducing.;CONSTITUTION: A first sensor node receives detection information from a second sensor node which detects the movement of an object(S410). The first sensor node compares the status information of the first sensor node with the detection information of the second sensor node(S420). When the detection information and the status information are dissimilar, the first sensor node broadcasts announcement information based on a predetermined waiting time(S430,S440). The sensor node generates the detection information when the sensing result from a previous detection cycle is different from the sensing result of a current detection cycle.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
