PURPOSE: A biomarker for detecting environmental harzadous substance and a method for detecting environmental harzadous substance using the same are provided. CONSTITUTION: A method for screening a biomarker gene for detecting volatile organic compound(VOC), persistant organic pollutant(POP) or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon(PAH) comprises: a fist step of detecting each gene expression profile from test samples which is treated with VOC, POP, or PAH; a second step of detecting gene expression profile of a control group sample under the same condition as the first step; and a third step of determining biomarker gene for VOC, POP, or PAH.
