PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring speed of an automobile is provided to increase the reliability of vehicle speed by accurately measuring the vehicle speed according to the period of wheel speed signal which is variable according to vehicle speed.;CONSTITUTION: A wheel speed sensor(10) are installed in one wheel or each wheel. The wheel speed sensor transmits a wheel speed signal indicating the state of the wheel. A reference clock generator(30) transmits a reference clock of a constant frequency to a braking control unit. The braking control unit includes a divider dividing the reference clock. The divider forms more than two kind of the divided clocks which are different.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
