PURPOSE: A gas compressor and a flow rate control method of a gas compressor are provided to eliminate the need for a muffler since there is little noise when a ring valve operates.;CONSTITUTION: A gas compressor comprises an impeller(14), a shroud(16), a ring valve(18), a vane(20) and a first actuator. The impeller is fixed to a rotary shaft(12) and a plurality of blades(24) including a wing and an edge(242) are installed on the outer circumference. The shroud surrounds the wing. The ring valve is installed on a diffuser path(26) connected to the impeller. The ring valve moves in the direction parallel to the rotary shaft and opens and closes the diffuser path. The vane is installed in the circumferential direction of the diffuser path on the outside of the ring valve of the diffuser path. The vane comprises each axis. The first actuator is combined to the vane axis and controls the rotation angle of the vane.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
