PURPOSE: A method for power control and an apparatus thereof for minimizing the downlink signaling overhead in a wireless communications system are provided to reduce the overhead of the downlink control channel for a TPC(Transmit Power Control) command according to a closed loop power control.;CONSTITUTION: A controller(511) assigns an uplink control channel to one or more terminals. The controller receives control information through the uplink control channel. An SINR(Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise-Ratio) calculation unit(513) measures SINR of the uplink control channel. A TPC electrical transmission positioning unit(515) transmits the TPC command in consideration of the SINR at a predetermined interval.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
