PURPOSE: A telematics integrated connection system and a method for controlling the same are provided to use an essential network connection type gateway in a smart car suitable for any environment, thereby improving user convenience. CONSTITUTION: A network interface unit(110) processes user input based on ontology modeling for a telematic integrated connection. A knowledge-based management unit(120) manages policies and schedules for a telematics service, an event generated inside a smart car, and the schedule of a user. A service function unit(130) converts information for a navigation service or multimedia service into a form suitable for a device inside the smart car. The service function unit performs one source multiuse function.
