PURPOSE: A complex lathe with two spindles facing each other is provided to simplify cover structure by collecting cutting fluid and cut powder from a position to be cut. CONSTITUTION: A complex lathe with two spindles facing each other comprises a bed(11), a headstock, a moving headstock, a horizontally moving body(42) for a lower edged tool(41), and a vertical guide(43). The bed has a horizontal upper side and a perpendicular front side. The headstock is fixed to the front side of the bed. The moving headstock and the horizontally moving body are guided by a horizontal guide and are freely moved. The vertical guide vertically guides the lower edged tool. The vertical guide is fixed to the front side of a lower Z-axis moving body.
