METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR REDUCING LOCATION UNCERTAINTY IN ASSET TRACKING SYSTEM USING WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK

A method and an apparatus for correcting ambiguity of asset position information in an asset tracking system using a wireless sensor network are provided to correct ambiguity of asset position information generated by an error and malfunction of a node. Updated position information of a specific moving node corresponding to position information of the specific moving node is received through a gateway(300) from the specific moving node(400) according to a request of an applicable unit(100). Past position information of the specific moving node is extracted from database. Present position information of the specific moving node is calculated by using the past position information of the specific moving node. An excess of a predetermined critical value is determined by comparing the present position information of the specific moving node with the updated position information. The past position information of the specific moving node is transmitted to the applicable unit in case the compared result excesses the predetermined critical value.
