A method for chemically reforming the surface of aluminum nitride powder and the surface-reformed aluminum nitride powder are provided to enhance the water resistance property. An organic compound including one or more among hydroxy group, carboxyl group, epoxy group, amino group or thiol group and organic solvent is mixed so that the mixture solution is manufactured(S1). Preferably, the organic compound of 1.5-4.0g is added to the organic solvent of 100g. Aluminum nitride powder is mixed with the mixture solution so that the slurry is manufactured(S2). The slurry is treated by heat(S3). The heat treated slurry is washed and then dried so that the aluminum nitride powder is obtained(S4).
