PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric material having excellent electrical characteristics even in a case that a dielectric layer is thin, and producible a laminated ceramic capacitor whose short circuit rate is low. PSOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the dielectric material is provided with a step of pulverizing primary raw material powder comprising barium titanate to obtain secondary raw material powder. The specific surface area of the primary raw material powder is controlled to 6.1-11.0 mSP2/SP/g, the D99 value of the particle size distribution of the secondary raw material powder is controlled to 0.35 m and the increase of the specific surface area of the secondary raw material powder to that of the primary raw material powder is controlled to 5.0 mSP2/SP/g.
