PURPOSE: A method for playing contents information on an I-DVD(Interactive-Digital Versatile Disc) and the method for providing contents information on a CP(Contents Provider) server are provided to output the data stream read from the I-DVD and various contents information provided from the CP server after re-synchronization when the contents transmission is delayed or interrupted. CONSTITUTION: The data read from the I-DVD and the contents information transmitted from the CP server through the Internet are synchronized/played. When the transmission of the contents information is delayed or interrupted, the download size information of the contents information and a command requesting the retransmission are transmitted to the CP server(S16). The contents information retransmitted from the CP server and the data read from the I-DVD are re-synchronized/played(S18).
