PURPOSE: A terminal server apparatus and method for supporting public certification in a server based computing system of terminal environment are provided to execute a digital certificate call program in a terminal server device by mounting a device storing an officer authentication as an identical drive type to a recognized drive type of a client terminal. CONSTITUTION: Based on the logical drive information of a terminal client(111) through terminal sessions(137-1 to 137-N), a virtual drive agent(113) judges a logical drive list including a digital certificate among the logical drive list of a client terminal(110). A virtual drive generator(135) generates a virtual drive for the logical drive list according to the indication of the virtual drive agent, and mounts the virtual drive at the terminal session.
