PURPOSE: A system and a method for determining traffic conflict of a signalized intersection using an image process method are provided to analyze conflict accurately by determining the conflict in consideration of the conflict severity when analyzing the traffic conflict. CONSTITUTION: An image sensing system(200) senses the image by extracting the moving vehicle individually based on a sense line inside a sensing region automatically formed at a signalized intersection. A traveling trace tracker(310) tracks the position information on a screen at every frame by tracking the moving trace of the moving vehicles according to the sense image provided from the image sensing system. An individual vehicle ID granting unit(320) grants the identification to each moving vehicle. A conflict determining unit determines the conflict between the moving vehicles according to the tracked traveling trace of the moving vehicle with the identification in consideration of the conflict severity type.
