FIELD: process engineering.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to exploration of underwater minerals. Proposed method comprises lowering weighted cap-catcher accommodating three hoses or pipes on mud line with hydrated-gas accumulation from ship with the help of cable. One of aforesaid hoses or pipes is used to force relative warm surface water onto formation top to decompose hydrated gas from said top into gaseous methane and fresh water. Both methane and fresh water are withdrawn separately from aforesaid cap-catcher via second and third hoses or pipes, laid to cap-catcher top and center, into ship tanks or ashore.;EFFECT: higher efficiency.;1 dwg
