FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: invention is realised by putting indicator paper containing starch, potassium iodide and urea hydrogen peroxide into a liquid. Energy density distribution in the ultrasonic field is evaluated from density distribution characteristic of the dye of the indicator paper.;EFFECT: qualitative evaluation of density distribution of ultrasonic energy in ultrasonic baths and other containers with water exposed to ultrasound.
