FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to 3,3'-bis-(3,4-dihydro-3-phenyl-2H-1,3-benzoxazin-6-yl)-1(3H)-isobenzofuranone and analogues based on phenolphthalein, formaldehyde and a primary amine of formula 1: , in which R independently represents allyl or phenyl, and to a method of synthesising the said compounds. The invention also pertains to a method of making a refractory cast or layered material based on the said compounds and laminating compositions since through thermal hardening, these compounds form a net which does not catch fire easily and is resistant to high temperatures.
