FIELD: machine building.;SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in preliminary cleaning and activation of surface of item by means of its bombardment with ions of argon and in ion-plasma settling of coating. Settling of coating is combined with bombardment of surface of the item with ions of argon. Also settling on the item is carried out by vacuum-arc sputtering at negative potential by means of settling titanium under-layer at sputtering a titanium cathode and successive settling of a composite layer during cathode sputtering.
