FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of producing synthetic fibre which can be used for three-dimensional reinforcement of cement products. The fibre is made in form of coaxial core and cladding. The core contains a thermoplastic polymer. The cladding contains either a thermoplastic polymer which is resistant to medium at pH11 and one or more hydrophilic and/or surface active substances in amount of 3-30% of the total weight of the cladding, or the cladding contains a thermoplastic polymer which is resistant to medium at pH11, engrafted with active or unsaturated monomers which make up 3-25% of the total weight of the cladding. In both cases, surface tension of the cladding is not less than 45 mN/m. The method making the cladding involves extrusion of molten mass of the basic component of the cladding and the basic component of the core through a concentric draw plate, where during extrusion, hydrophilic and/or surface active substance is added to the molten mass of the cladding.
