Machine (1) comprises a system (3) for feeding a number of strips to a packaging system (4) using a vertical loader. A roller moves the strips from the loader to a storage station with sensors for counting the number of strips deposited. A system (42) comprises a pump for supplying essence onto the strips with a nozzle. A pair of rollers seal the edges of the films continuously supplied to form a tube. A heat-sealing gripper is equipped with two jaws for sealing the films transversely along a line. A trap (37) separates the individual packages and a feeler (36) detects the conforming packages and controls the bulkhead (37a) for depositing the packages into a container for good (38) or waste products (39).
