The emulsion polymer is obtained by polymerizing a mixture. The mixture comprises 5-99.9 wt.% of one or multiple monomers from mono-functional methacrylate monomers, styrene or vinyl, and 0-70 wt.% of one or multiple copolymerizable monomers. 0-20 wt.% of one or multiple unsaturated vinyl compounds, 0-20 wt.% of one or multiple polar monomers, and 0.1-95 wt.%, preferably 10-60 wt.%, particularly 20-50 wt.% of an activator. The activator having general formula (I). R 1H or methyl, preferably methyl; X : linear or branched alkanediyl with 1-18C atoms, ethylene or hydroxy propylene group, which are substituted single or multiple times with hydroxyl or 1-4C alkoxy; R 2H or linear or branched alkyl residue with 1-12C, methyl, ethyl or 2-hydroxy ethyl, which are substituted single or multiple times with hydroxyl or 1-4C alkoxy, where the hydroxyl group is esterified with methacrylic acid; and R 3, R 4, R 5, R 6 and R 7H or linear or branched alkyl or alkoxy with 1-8C, which are substituted single or multiple times with hydroxyl, and if necessary two of the residue R 3-R 7 are connected with each other to 5-7 membered ring and form a condensed aromatic ring system with phenyl residue.
