The pump (1) has a pump housing (2) in which a drive shaft (3) is rotatably arranged, to drive a piston, where the piston is accommodated back and forth movably in a cylinder area (5) of the pump housing, which is locked by a cylinder head (6). The cylinder head is coated externally with noise insulation material. A noise insulation hood (10) is attached to the cylinder head and formed from a noise insulation material. A shape of the noise insulation hood is adapted to a shape of the cylinder head.
