The method involves documenting the classification from a carcass to a pluck e.g. liver of poultry, in a permanent manner after separation of the carcass and the pluck. The carcass and the pluck are examined separately. The classification takes place directly according to a slaughter, before the carcass and the pluck are separated from each other, and are stored and transported separately. The classification takes place in a manner, that a code including a fleet number and a slaughter number are attached at the carcass and the pluck in a permanent manner. An independent claim is also included for a metering box for performing a method for diagnosing a pathologic anatomic change of a slaughtered animal.
