Method for welding of aluminum diecast articles connected with one another along a joining zone of its contact zone, by subjecting thermal energy to pulsed focused laser radiation in the zone on two primary and secondary beam spots
The method comprises subjecting thermal energy to pulsed focused laser radiation in a joining zone on two primary and secondary beam spots distanced along the joining zone. Both beam spots are obtained from a pulsed laser source by a bifocal optic. The primarily influential beam spot is detected energetically for melting. The primary beam spot is detected for outgasing of pollutants coming from casting process and/or for removing oxide- and dirt deposits. The primary beam spot is detected energetically for homogenizing and smoothing of the joining zone. The pulse energy of the laser source is divided to both beam spots, which have similar cross-section geometry. A resulting average power in the order of 10% of the average power of a continuous wave-laser source detected for combination welding is subjected over the beam spots. The beam spots are subjected without mutual overlapping along the contact area of the joining zone. The middle point of the beam spots is arranged around the daul of its middle diameters staggered against each other on the contact area.
