The lamp (1) has a lamp head (5) held at a support arm (2). The lamp head is movably connected with the support arm by a swivel joint (10). A locking device acts on the joint and automatically locks the lamp head in an initial position and/or a central position and in an activated condition of the device. The locking device is operated by a rotating ring (11) that is provided at an outer side of the joint. The joint is arranged at an end of a bent intermediate part that is connected with the support arm at another end of the part by another joint (3).
