The method comprises directly applying an elastic coating (5) made of polyurea or polyurea mixture with a portion of 1-95% of polyurea on rock surfaces (3) of tunnel walls by foaming, injecting, rolling or spreading. The flame-retardant material is added to the polyurea mixture in the form of inorganic salts or metal-organic compounds. The coating has a layer thickness of 2-4 mm, and is applied several times one upon the other. A plastic web, plastic thread (4) or plastic offgas is embedded into the coating. Extension strips are embedded in intervals in the coating. The method comprises directly applying an elastic coating (5) made of polyurea or polyurea mixture with a portion of 1-95% of polyurea on rock surfaces (3) of tunnel walls by foaming, injecting, rolling or spreading.
