The device has a lock support fastened to bases in a plane of a split line in three different pivoting positions. The support has a shape of an opened jaw when viewed from a longitudinal direction of a gripped lock section (9). An adapter (11) is fastened to a U-lock for inserting into the lock support, and comprises a rod as a joint pin for pivoting into the jaw of the lock support. The adapter is fixed into an end position during joining process superimposed with pivoting movement. The pivoting movement takes place around an axis, which is parallel to a bicycle plane.
