The glass or glass ceramic body comprises two partial disks (10, 20) consisting of glass or glass ceramic material. One of the partial disks is placed with its edge on the other partial disk linearly forming a joint area. The partial disks are connected in the joint area by an organic adhesive such as epoxide resin- and two-component adhesive. The adhesive has a temperature fatigue strength of optimally greater than 250[deg] C in a hardened state and is optically transparent in the hardened state. One of the partial disks is decorated with screen-printing and has a thickness of less than 5 mm. The glass or glass ceramic body comprises two partial disks (10, 20) consisting of glass or glass ceramic material. One of the partial disks is placed with its edge on the other partial disk linearly forming a joint area. The partial disks are connected in the joint area by an organic adhesive such as epoxide resin adhesive and two-component adhesive. The adhesive has a temperature fatigue strength of optimally greater than 250[deg] C in a hardened state and is optically transparent in the hardened state. One of the partial disks is decorated with screen-printing and has a thickness of less than 5 mm. The partial disks are right-angled to each other. The first partial disk is adhered in an area of its side surface forming an innerside (11) and an outerside (12) with the edge of the second partial disk. The surface producing the edge of the second partial disk is right-angled to an innerside (21) and an outerside (22) of the second partial disk and/or is angled smaller or greater than 90[deg] to the innerside and the outerside of the second partial disk, and is bulged in a convex manner. The partial disks are unequally angled to each other at 90[deg] . The adhesive completely fills the joint area between the partial disks. The partial disks consist of different materials, different decorations, different transparencies and/or different surface structures. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing glass or glass ceramic body.
