The tool (10) has a central shank (3) designed at a base end as a device receiving passage (1) or connected with a device holding element, where the tool is made of plastic whose hardness is less than hardness of the human dentin in a root channel. A helical bar (4) surrounds the shank and extends over a part of the length of the shank to a pointed end (5). The shank, helical bar and the device receiving passage are designed as a single piece using multi-component injection molding, where the helical bar is made of plastic.
