The emergency canopy has a canopy support and a canopy lining, where an approximately vertical flexible rear element (1) is provided with a rear section (2) extending laterally to a vehicle (K). Two left and right lateral sections (3,4) extend along the vehicle, and are arranged on the canopy lining.
