The folding top has a covering unit arranged at a roof frame (1) that is fixed above a passenger compartment of a body structure (4) comprising side windows and a windscreen frame (3). The frame has roof braces (5, 6, 7) that are connected with one another, where two adjacent braces form edge areas (8, 9). Edge nodes (10, 11) are arranged in the respective areas and comprise two connecting units for connecting the braces, where the connecting units are formed as retaining openings. The nodes are designed as a hollow profile and made from plastic by utilizing a plastic-injection molding method.
