The switch unit has a contactor actuated by a push button (2), and a main safety device (3) connected with the contactor at two contacts (4). A battery cable (7) and auxiliary safety devices (6) are mounted at a third contact. An auxiliary contact detects a switching condition of the contactor. A signal alarm is arranged at the switch unit, and the contactor is arranged in a housing (1), where the push button is located on an upper side of the housing. The main safety device is fastened to side walls of the housing at the contacts (4).
