Flue gas cleaning involves contacting flue gas (1) with quicklime-based reagent (4) for deposition of acidic flue gas components at 140-300[deg] C, preferably 150-240[deg] C, particularly 160-180[deg] CC. The processed gas is contacted with sodium-based reagent (6) for performing further purification process.
