The collector (1) has a plate-like thin-walled core region (2) with an electrically conductive material e.g. aluminum or copper, a surface region (3) made of a first material, and another surface region (4) made of another material. The electrical conductivity of the former surface region is lower than the latter surface region. The former surface region is bounded and/or spatially separated from the latter surface region. The former and the latter surface regions are formed as a thin layer. The layer thickness of both the surface regions is smaller than the thickness of the core region. An independent claim is also included for a galvanic cell.
