The unit i.e. vacuum-based patient adjustment support (1), has an X-ray marker (5) and an electromagnetic marker (6) provided in an imaging system and a positioning system and integrated fixedly into the unit. The markers are surrounded by a soft material i.e. foam material (3), and the unit is made of sterilizable material. A recess and/or cavity are provided in the plate, and the markers are removably inserted in the recess and/or cavity. The markers arranged at a rod or needle like insertion device are removably inserted in a blind hole.
