The valve element has a cylindrical flow guiding element (11) comprising a gas inlet opening (12) and gas outlet openings (14, 16). A blocking element (13) is movable between a blocking position in which the outlet openings are blocked, and a release position in which the outlet openings are unblocked. The guiding device and the blocking element are partly made of a ceramic material and are embedded into a metal housing (17). The housing comprises a supply opening (18) and removal openings (20, 22), which are aligned with the inlet opening and the outlet openings, respectively.
