The device has a valve housing (1) for guiding a fluid stream, where the valve housing includes an input (8) for inlet of fluid and an output (9.1) for discharging the fluid. A slide valve (3) is formed as a piston slide valve whose body is formed in the valve housing by forming a gap (11). Sealing elements (13, 15) are provided for sealing the gap, where the sealing elements produce self-produced clamping force in a direction of the slide valve or the housing. The slide valve is moved back and froth in the valve housing. An independent claim is also included for a loading system for loading an internal-combustion engine.
