The battery (1) has single cells (2) that are connected with each other in a parallel or series manner. A cooling device is arranged on a pole side of the single cells, where the cooling device comprises a cooling plate (12) and a transfer plate (3). The transfer plate is arranged between the single cells and the cooling plate. A cooling tube (13) is arranged on an upper side of the cooling plate, where cooling agent flows in the cooling tube. Vertically distant heat guidance elements (5) e.g. pins, are arranged on a surface of the transfer plate.
