The cell (1) has a thermally conductive casing (2) surrounding interior of the cell, and a cell cover (5) arranged on the casing and the interior of the cell at a pole side. Pole contacts (4, 6) protrude through the cell cover. The cell cover is provided with a vertically projecting force transmission element (10), which is arranged between the pole contacts. The force transmission element is designed as a bar. Height of the force transmission element is larger than height of the pole contacts. The force transmission element extends over entire width of the cell.
