The system has a railway and/or rail system comprising rails (1, 2) that are arranged parallel to each other, where the rails are designed in the form of spirals and coils. The rails are designed in an electrically conducting manner for supplying current to a model car (4) through sliding contacts. The rails are made from metal e.g. iron, brass or aluminum, or plastic and connected with one another by a distance bolt (3), where side surfaces of the rails are attached to sensor units (5-8) that are arranged in front and rear areas of the car.
