The toy railway system with thermoplastic sleepers, in which are embedded individual rails. The latter are formed by metal strips and operational current conductors, frictionally interconnected in the sleepers by end-to-end butting. The sleepers are mounted in sleeper supports, and the rails are clamped there as tongs with intercoupling. The system may form a circle or an oval with two rail strips with butting ends. Each circle or oval comprises several sleeper supports and two rail strips.
