The fiber area is turned away from a usage surface of the cushion element. The fiber area is arranged in a side area and/or in a middle part of the cushion element. The fiber material is provided with a fiber mat, where the fiber material consists of synthetic or natural fibers such as coconut fibers. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a cushion element.
