The arrangement i.e. computer tomograph (10), has an optical fiber cable (70) for optically connecting two optical transmitting and/or receiving elements (60, 130). The fiber cable is wound and/or unwound on and/or from a winding device (80). Another winding device (90) cooperates with the former winding device, such that the unwound section of the optical fiber cable is wound at the latter winding device during unwinding of the optical fiber cable from the former winding device. An optical interface (110) is arranged at an axis (100) of the latter winding device. An independent claim is also included for a method for transferring data between two optical transmitting and/or receiving elements.
