Fiber-composite material for constructing airplane wing, has predetermined impurity formed in intrinsic periodic structure, so that structure is formed as nearly incommensurate structure in matrix
The material (1) has an intrinsic periodic structure formed in a matrix (2), where the structure has zones (6) of periodic density and/or periodic elasticity. A predetermined impurity (8) is formed in the structure, so that the structure is formed as a nearly incommensurate structure in the matrix. The periodic structure is formed as one-dimensional, two-dimensional or three-dimensional fiber fabric, knitted fabrics or scrim, where the matrix is composed of metal, metal alloy, thermoplastic, thermosetting plastic, or ceramic material. The matrix comprises strands (3) of fibers (4) formed from glass, carbon, metal, ceramic, nanotube, silicon carbide, polyester, polyamide, polyimide, polyamide, polyphenylene sulfide, aramid, polyacrylonitrile, PTFE, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride or polyurethane. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a composite material with integrated insulation and/or damping.
