The wheel has a decoration element (18) fastened to a steering wheel part, where the decoration element has a partial transparent covering element (20). A partial transparent laminar design part (40) i.e. color foil, is replaceably inserted in a retaining pocket (38) of the decoration element between the covering element and the steering wheel. A light source (36) e.g. organic LED, is provided between the steering wheel and the design part to illuminate in a direction of the covering element. The light source is held in a light box of the decoration element. The decoration element is coated with polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) coating and physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating.
