The device has a central heat source (13) that is arranged in an inner side of a container (3) and/or within a liquid food (33) and electrically heated. Heating output is regulated dynamically based on a momentary heat flow from the heat source. The device is energizable by a battery, an accumulator, a cigarette lighter or an euro plug with optionally existing power pack. The heat source is formed from a flexible electrically heatable casing or hose that is arranged around the container in a removable manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for heating a pasty or liquid food.
