The device has a milled product supply opening (4) provided at a partial section of a vision channel (1) between ends of the channel for supplying a milled product (5) to the section of the channel. An interior portion of the channel includes inclined surfaces (8) that extend diagonal to a direction of a gravitational force component and/or a direction of a centrifugal force component. A measuring device i.e. near-infrared (NIR) spectrometer, is installed at an output of a zigzag separator for examination of milled product quality with respect to particle size, ash content or protein content. An independent claim is also included for a method for fractionation of milled products.
