Internal combustion engine i.e. bivalent internal combustion engine, operating method for motor vehicle, involves adjusting injection time by correction factors during e.g. load operations, and operating valve with corrected injection time
The method involves operating an internal combustion engine with fuel, and sampling injection time (TE) of an injection valve (30) determined by an engine controller (10), as reference-injection time when the engine is operated with the fuel under preset operating conditions. Correction factors for the injection time of the valve are determined by considering a reference value and/or a base value. The injection time is adjusted by the correction factors during cold run-/hot run-/partial load- and/or full load operations. The valve is operated with corrected injection time (TEK). An independent claim is also included for a device for correcting operating parameters for an injection valve.
