The battery charger (13) has a locking device that is movably mounted for securing the battery charger, which accommodates a battery (15) i.e. button cell, against unwanted opening. The locking device is movable from a locking position by holding force. A groove is formed in the locking device. A fingernail that moves the locking device is inserted in the groove. The locking device comprises a cylindrical closing element whose end is engaged in a recess of a housing shell of a hearing aid in the locking position.
