The packing machine (1) has multiple filling tubes (5) for filling bulk materials into bags and particularly into valve bags. A dust removal unit is provided for extracting the air from the surrounding of the filling tubes. The dust removal unit has a controlled dust removing channel, with which the extraction at two filling tubes is controlled independent of each other. The dust removing channel has a closure device which consists of a closure body. An independent claim is included for a method for filling bulk materials into bags and particularly into valve bags.
