The nozzle (510) for welding using a pulsed laser beam (5), comprises a nozzle channel (514), which is enclosed by a nozzle wall, is flow-throughable by a working gas and is supplied to a welding wire (3) in a guiding tube, where a receiving tube (516) is provided for the guiding tube and axially completely penetrates the nozzle channel. The nozzle area-wise has a curvature with a radius (R), where the curvature is convexly aligned with respect to the laser beam. The working gas, the welding wire and the guiding tube are guided into the nozzle channel. The nozzle (510) for welding using a pulsed laser beam (5), comprises a nozzle channel (514), which is enclosed by a nozzle wall, is flow-throughable by a working gas and is supplied to a welding wire (3) in a guiding tube, where a receiving tube (516) is provided for the guiding tube and axially completely penetrates the nozzle channel. The nozzle area-wise has a curvature with a radius (R), where the curvature is convexly aligned with respect to the laser beam. The working gas, the welding wire and the guiding tube are guided into the nozzle channel. The receiving tube is fixed inside of the nozzle wall, is arranged in sections with a radial distance (A) to the nozzle wall, is fixed over the entire length (L) through a continuous web on the nozzle wall, is arranged in the nozzle centrally on the entry side and radially outwardly on the exit side, and is arranged on the exit side at a position of the nozzle wall facing a workpiece. The nozzle wall is locally implemented on the exit side with increased wall thickness in an area of the periphery radially opposite to the receiving tube. The receiving tube is arranged on the exit side in an axially projecting manner. The nozzle wall has a cooling device. A channel, through which a cooling agent is conducted, is implemented in the nozzle wall. The nozzle is partially produced by a laser beam welding process, and consists of martensite-hardenable tool steel. Independent claims are included for: (1) an arrangement for welding using a pulsed laser beam; and (2) a method for applying a material on a workpiece using a welding wire, a working gas and a pulsed laser beam.
